About Us

Dirty South started as a concept around 2015 as a group of mates drifting together in Vic Drift events, called Dirty South Drift club.

From tinkering in the home shed things grew rapidly and skills evolved to the point where a business needed to be created. In 2017 Danny registered the business name, Dirty South Race Engineering.
2017 also saw the first of the standalone harnesses being constructed for Lewis' blue S14 drift car. From there, word spread for like minded drifters doing LS swaps and popularity grew.

2018 the idea sprung to life that this could be a viable business idea and planning began including the construction of the engine test stand.

2019, Danny's final year of his Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering was the official launch of our standalone harnesses, popularity was overwhelming and lead times grew as it was only a side project.

2020 as the COVID pandemic hit and over 100+ harnesses had been modified Dirty South became my sole focus and full time job

2021 and the passion for automotive research and development is as strong as ever. With 250+ Harnesses under our belt we launched this website and are extremely excited to see what the future holds!
